FAQs

HOW CAN I HELP?

The best way to help is by sending cards of baseball players born in the Dominican Republic. You can also support us by spreading the word among your friends, families, and communities. Click here to see other ways to help, and follow us on Instagram @cards4dr to stay updated.

DO YOU TAKE FINANCIAL DONATIONS?

Financial donations cover many essential parts of our operations, including the costs of shipping baseball cards to the Dominican Republic and purchasing protective sleeves for the cards (if they are not donated). Cards4DR is a volunteer-run organization, so 100% of financial donations go directly to supporting our mission.

If you’re interested in making a financial donation, please reach out to us at levkotlerberkowitz@cards4dr.com.

WHERE DO I SEND MY CARDS?

Please send cards to:

HOW DO YOU DISTRIBUTE THE CARDS?

Cards are collected and sorted in the US before being shipped to our DR Manager, Hugh Baver. From there, Hugh partners with youth baseball leagues and teams throughout the DR to distribute the cards.

WHY DO YOU PUT EACH CARD IN A PLASTIC PROTECTIVE SLEEVE?

We use plastic protective sleeves to ensure the cards last beyond the first few minutes and to preserve their quality over time.

ARE YOU ONLY COLLECTING CARDS OF DOMINICAN PLAYERS?

Yes! We aim to inspire pride in the kids of the DR by focusing on players who were born or raised there.

WHAT ARE YOUR ONLINE ACCOUNTS?

Our active accounts are @cards4dr on Instagram and this website, cards4dr.com. There are also a couple of inactive accounts from the early days of this organization, which are @baseballcards4good on Instagram and the website cardsforthedr.wordpress.com.
